Christmas- An eagerly awaited celebration
“It is Christmas in the heart that puts Christmas in the air.” To commemorate the birth of Jesus, Christmas is celebrated every year on 25 th . December. It was indeed a Christmas to remember at Holy Cross School. Christmas celebration was held for the students on 21 st . December 2022. Students along with the teachers festooned the school with crib, Christmas trees, Santa Claus, wreath, bells, stars etc.
The delightful celebration included children coming in colourful dresses, bringing their favourite food in the tiffin’s, dancing and sharing the merriment together. The students were told about the birth of Lord Jesus through a tableau on Nativity. To encapsulate and express the joy, devotion and to explain what happened around Jesus Christ’s birth, Christmas Carols were sung by our students. The essence of Christmas came alive with the arrival of Santa Claus. Our beloved Headmistress Rev. Sr. Anees George gave us a beautiful message stating that Christmas indeed was a celebration of peace, love, togetherness and to be grateful, spread happiness and enjoy it to the fullest. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of the children especially when Santa Claus moved around dancing with them. May the sparkle and joy of Christmas infuse the life of each and every one with hope, positivity and joy.
